I returned to visual art fifteen years ago, after many years as an adult educator by day and performing songwriter at night. At that time, I moved from an urban lifestyle to living to a quieter, slower existence in a small town. Taking walks in meadows, along streams and through forests brought me back to the part of myself that wanted to create visually. Not surprisingly, my visual work is inspired by music, nature and, more recently the imprint of humans on nature. Whether abstract or representational, for me, creating a piece of art requires observation, experience, intuition, and instinct.
